Here are descriptions and locations of two sets of West Genealogy books by our cousins Donal S. West and Lola Jeanne Edwards Lindsey.
Descendants of Edwards West Sr.(1801-1870) and Sarah Edwards (1798-1870) of Brown Co., OH - Researched and Compiled by Authors: Donal S. West and Lola Jeanne Edwards Lindsey, published 1995 (5 Volumes).

The earliest WEST ancestors noted are Thomas West (b. ca. 1730 in Fairfax Co., VA) and Sarah Trammell (b. ca 1735 in Fairfax Co., VA) who married ca. 1753. Their nine children were all born in Fairfax Co., VA between 1754 and 1775.

Descendants of Joseph Reid (1702-1784) and Elizabeth Hampton, Absolom Reid (1727 - ) and Sarah Simpson (1735- ), Joab Reid (1762-1855) and Nancy West (1764-1805) of Fairfax Co., VA and Brown Co., OH. - Researched and Complied by Authors: Donal S. West and Lola Jeanne Edwards Lindsey, published 1997 (6 Volumes).

Joseph Reid (b. 1703 in Glasgow, Lanark, Scotland) was the son of John Reid and Margaret McCullock. In 1716, Joseph emigrated to Newport News, VA. From his will (Truro Parish, Fairfax Co., VA [Will Book A. No. 1 (1742-1855) Pages 325-327] ) we learn the names of his wife (Elizabeth) and five children (Sarah, Jane, Elizabeth, John and Absolom). The major portion of this work concerns the lines through Absolom.
