My ancestor from Lancashire was Matthias Farnsworth b. 16l5 at Farnworth, LANCS. He was one of 5 children born to Richard Farnsworth b. 1584 at Farnworth, Lancs.Eng. and his wife, Elizabethe Marsh b. Nov. 1, 1584 at Eccles, dau of Jacobes Marsh and his wife Alicia Hey Marsh.
Richard Farnsworth and his wife, Elizabethe Marsh Farnsworth had these children:
1. Alizia Farnsworth b. Feb 25, l6l0 at Prestwich, Lancs. Eng.
2. Jonathan Farnsworth b. Aug l6l2 at Prestwich
3. MATTHIAS FARNSWORTH b. 16l5 at Eccles. m. Mary Farr whose father was

4. Mary Farnsworth b. l6l8 at Eccles d. age 5 (during the yrs of plague)

Matthias Farnsworth's brother, Jonathan Farnsworth stayed behind when Matthias emigrated to New England in l640.
Jonathan married Elizabeth Kershaw of Lancashire Their children were:
