Abraham KENDALL (1756-1828) and Abigail KENDALL (1794-1875) of Woodstock, Windsor Co, VT and 7 children: Caleb, Nabby, Charles Ward Apthrop, Rhoda, Jason, Franklin, and Hosea born between 1782 and 1801. Abraham & Abigail (Kendall) Kendall came from Dunstable, Middlesex, MA. 2. Lt. Temple KENDALL (1732-1822) and Abigail CUMMINGS (1733-1820), Abigail's parents, of Dunstable, MA and 10 children: Abigail, Elisabeth, Isaac, Zimri, Nathaniel, Temple, Rhoda, Olive, Jeremiah and James born between 1758 and 1778. 3. Reuben KENDALL (1739-c1805) from Woburn, MA and Mollie HARTWELL (1741-c1805) from Groton, MA, md in Leominster, MA. They lived in Shirley, MA and Mason, NH before settling in Windsor, VT. Their 11 children: Molly, Reuben Jr, James, Susanna, nn, Lucy, Hannah, Elizabeth, Jonathan, Edmund and Sally born between 1763 and 1784. "I am trying to prove or disprove that Sally, dau of Reuben and Mollie was my gggm Sarah KENDALL who md 1. Benjamin ROWE and 2. Adam POND."
Martha Kendall Holmes posted 1 Jun 97 I have information on my gggrandfather, Samuel KENDALL, b. cir 1780, native of Lancashire, Great Britain, naturalized 1811 in Newberry Co, SC, in Dallas Co. AL 1820-40. Children include Mary, Eliza, Catharine, Permilia, Elizabeth, John Benjamin and Thomas Milton. Thomas Milton KENDALL, my ggrandfather, in Rapides Parish and Jackson Parish LA in 1850-1860. Family then to Navarro Co. TX in late 1800's. Most of Thomas Milton's family to Roger Mills Co. OK in 1890's-1900's. Early family connections include Tipton, Grumbles, Gill.
Peggy McGee Maness posted 4 Jun 97 William KENDALL of St. Thomas Parish, Orange Co, VA, made a will in 1775 which was probated 26 June 1777. He named his wife Sarah (Foster) KINDEL and six children, not named. So far, we have been unable to connect William to other KENDALL s in Orange Co. or any other county. Other KENDALLs mentioned are: W. Maizy KENDALL in 1763, Henry KENDALL in 1750, John KENDALL by 1758, Robert KENDAL in 1737. Sarah Foster KENDALL moved to Wilkes County, NC, by 1786. The six children of William and Sarah Foster KENDALL are: (1) John, (2) Sarah, (3) William, (4) Elizabeth, (5) James, and (6) Thomas. Some information on each of these children in NC is available.
Diane Hettrick posted 8 Jun 97 William B. KINDLE b.c. 1774-1784 m.c. 1798 Jean NEEPER b.c. 1774-1784,
probably Perry Co, PA. They had either 5 or 10 children depending
on your interpretation of Rev. Linn's casual baptismal records!
First 5 children were John, Joseph, William, David, and Mary Ann,
born between c.1799 -c.1819. Their son Joseph KINDALL b.c. 1801
in Perry Co PA, m. Martha Jean HUNTER 1829, Miami Co, Ohio. Both
the KINDLE and the HUNTER families had moved to Miami Co, OH between
1811-1818.
Edward Kendall posted 10 Jun 97 I am researching the ascendent and descendent lines of Stephen KENDALL who married Jane RICHARDS on the 3rd of August 1758 in Illogan Cornwall. While Stephen was a carpenter, their descendent line seems to have been involved with mining in the area. Jennifer Quinn, nee Kendall, posted 11 Jun 97 I am trying to research my father's family. My father, Paul Wareham
KENDALL b 21/4/1919 in Adelaide AUS, was the son of David KENDALL,
b 23/5/1888 in Dorset England, married to Laura HULL from Taunton
Somerset Eng. His father Paul was born about mid 1800's and had
three sons David, Horace, Thomas. This David Paul David Paul pattern
is a tradition in our family and Wareham is also a place name
in Dorset.

Lisa Marker, posted 13 Aug 97 John KENDALL b 1822 in Wilkes-Barre, PA m 1846 to Cornelia JACKSON 1826 in Ithaca, NY. 4 children: Ella, John, Frances, Lucy. John & Cornelia are buried in Winona, Minnesota. John apparently had 9 siblings, none of their names are known. Also would like any info on either John or Cornelia's parents (his were born in Delaware). Thanks!!
Walter Fuller, posted 13 Aug 97 Searching for ancestors of William KENDALL and Elinor Roach KENDALL. William was born abt 1700 in St. Pauls Parish, Kent Co, MD. Elinor ROACH was born Oct 18, 1706 in the same county. Their children: James, William, Stephen. I feel that this KENDALL branch is related to the Francis KENDALL and Mary TIDD family of Woburn, Mass, but as yet have not found the elusive link. James KENDALL and his family ended up in Fayette Co, PA, and some of his descendants ended up in Floyd Co, IN and later Madison Co, Ill.
Ken Purks, posted 25 Aug 97 In 1972 I wrote a book on the KENDALL Family in Virginia. Titled the "Kendall's of Fredericksburg" the research covers the KENDALL family in England, their migration to America, their activities in Virginia, including James KENDALL in Jamestown, and to the present family living in Fredericksburg, Virginia. I plan to put this work on the net within the next 6 months.
Lorelei Gustafson, updated 10 Nov 97 "I have descendants of Kendalls from 1458. My records continue in the colonies with Frances Miles Kendall's son Thomas to descendants of Capt. William Kendall to California through his son Benjamin Franklin Kendall. I have also done work on descendants of Capt. Kendall's other son, James Madison Kendall of Bowdoinham."
Candy Grubb, posted 10 Nov 97 (See Kendall Queries) Searching for the parents/ ancestors of John KENDALL (1861-1936) buried in Webber's Campground Cem, (Saline Co.?) IL. John md Oradell McFARLAND (dau. of James H. & Cynthia Eveline (HALL) McFARLAND). John and Oradell KENDALL had the following children: (1) Anna KENDALL marr. Roy JOHNSON These children are not in any specific order, as I do not have birthdates for many of them. I am glad to share ALL information I have!
